The UZC-SSRS2 Group Catalog
We apply a friends-of-friends algorithm to the combined Updated ZwickyCatalog and Southern Sky Redshift Survey to construct a catalog of 1168groups of galaxies; 411 of these groups have five or more members withinthe redshift survey. The group catalog covers 4.69 sr, and all groupsexceed the number density contrast threshold, δρ/ρ=80. Wedemonstrate that the groups catalog is homogeneous across the twounderlying redshift surveys; the catalog of groups and their membersthus provides a basis for other statistical studies of the large-scaledistribution of groups and their physical properties. The medianphysical properties of the groups are similar to those for groupsderived from independent surveys, including the ESO Key Programme andthe Las Campanas Redshift Survey. We include tables of groups and theirmembers.

Arcsecond Positions of UGC Galaxies
We present accurate B1950 and J2000 positions for all confirmed galaxiesin the Uppsala General Catalog (UGC). The positions were measuredvisually from Digitized Sky Survey images with rms uncertaintiesσ<=[(1.2")2+(θ/100)2]1/2,where θ is the major-axis diameter. We compared each galaxymeasured with the original UGC description to ensure high reliability. The full position list is available in the electronic version only.

Galaxy coordinates. II. Accurate equatorial coordinates for 17298 galaxies
Using images of the Digitized Sky Survey we measured coodinates for17298 galaxies having poorly defined coordinates. As a control, wemeasured with the same method 1522 galaxies having accurate coordinates. The comparison with our own measurements shows that the accuracy of themethod is about 6 arcsec on each axis (RA and DEC).

A neutral hydrogen study of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 5033
Neutral hydrogen observations of 22.7x18.5 arcsec^2 resolution arepresented for the Seyfert type 1 galaxy NGC 5033. Our measurements showthat the total Hi mass of the galaxy is 7.0x10^9 Msolar and that it isreceding at 870 km s^-1. The column density map features prominent Hispiral arms and an asymmetric plume of Hi which extends ~6 kpc south ofthe galaxy. We find a well-ordered velocity field and the large-scalekinematical warp in the galactic disc has been modelled. The innerregion of the velocity field is well fitted by a flat, inclined discwith inclination 68 deg and position angle 352 deg, but due to warpingthese fall to 64 deg and 342 deg, respectively, at large radii.Attention is paid to factors that may be related to Seyfert activity inthe nucleus and we find some evidence for a previous tidal encounter butlittle evidence for a bar, or significant non-circular motions in thecentral regions. Large concentrations of Hi at the galactic centreappear to show no evidence of interaction with the active nucleus.

Multicolour surface photometry of a sample of HI-detected late type galaxies
We perform BVRI surface photometry of 27 late type spiral and dwarfgalaxies. All but two galaxies are selected from the HI-survey ofSchneider et al.(1990). We derive integral photometric parameters andthe radial light and colour profiles and compare them to those ofseveral LSB and bright field galaxy samples. Our new data confirm theearlier suggestions that the 'Schneider's sample' consists of twodifferent types of galaxies, with probably different st ar formationhistories. First, the nearby (v_0 <= 1600 km s(-1) ) galaxies aremostly true dwarfs with the mean absolute magnitude of M_B = --14.9+/-1.5 and with disk scale lengthes smaller than 1 kpc. Thesedwarfs are reasonably blue with median B-V = 0.49 and contain a largeamount of neutral gas. Second, the distant (v_0 >= 4500 km s(-1) )galaxies are late type LSB galaxies with typical face-on disk centralsurface brightnesses of about 23.3 B-mag arcsec(-2) and 'normal' diskscale lengthes of 3.6+/-1.5 kpc. Observed LSB galaxies are significantlyredder, with median B-V =~ 0.72, than are the typical field LSBgalaxies. The observed LSB galaxies are rich in HI but the current starformation activity is probably low.

The CfA Redshift Survey: Data for the NGP +36 Zone
We have assembled redshifts for a complete sample of 719 galaxies withm_zw_ <= 15.5 in the declination range 32.5^deg^ <= δ <=38.5^deg^ and right ascension range 8^h^ <= α <= 17^h^. Wehave determined morphological types for all galaxies in the magnitudelimited sample by direct inspection of the POSS-O plates. 576 of theredshifts are measurements from Mount Hopkins, and 405 are newredshifts. We also include new redshifts for 77 fainter galaxies in thesame strip.

Galaxy Properties at the North Galactic Pole. I. Photometric Properties on Large Spatial Scales
A two-color study of the galaxies detected on POSS-I in a 289 squaredegree region centered on the North Galactic Pole is presented. We use avariety of mapping techniques to characterize the large-scale spatialdistribution of galaxies. The depth and sample size of this new surveyallows, for the first time, the isolation of large photometricsubsamples of galaxies in high- and low-density environments on thescale of superclusters. Our principal finding is a statisticallysignificant difference between the mean photometric properties of thesesubsamples in the sense that galaxies in the high-density Coma andfilament environments have redder colors and larger concentrationindices than galaxies drawn from low-density interfilament regions. These results are in accord with the known morphology-density relation. Thus, appropriately chosen photometric and morphological parameters, inconcert with a galaxy surface density map, can be used to selectstructures from the projected galaxy distribution which correspond toregions of high density. An illustration of this point is our discoveryof a concentration of blue galaxies identified in our maps near the coreof the Coma cluster. This feature is comprised of early-type galaxieswhich exhibit signs of current or recent star formation. These resultsare predicated on relations between morphological type and photometricparameters derived from APS scans of POSS-I. We therefore discuss theimage calibration procedures used to compile our catalog of physicallysignificant photometric parameters. We demonstrate the morphologicaltype dependence among quantities such as mean color and imageconcentration index, and the lack of such a dependence for mean surfacebrightness.

General study of group membership. II - Determination of nearby groups
We present a whole sky catalog of nearby groups of galaxies taken fromthe Lyon-Meudon Extragalactic Database. From the 78,000 objects in thedatabase, we extracted a sample of 6392 galaxies, complete up to thelimiting apparent magnitude B0 = 14.0. Moreover, in order to considersolely the galaxies of the local universe, all the selected galaxieshave a known recession velocity smaller than 5500 km/s. Two methods wereused in group construction: a Huchra-Geller (1982) derived percolationmethod and a Tully (1980) derived hierarchical method. Each method gaveus one catalog. These were then compared and synthesized to obtain asingle catalog containing the most reliable groups. There are 485 groupsof a least three members in the final catalog.

Northern dwarf and low surface brightness galaxies. II - The Green Bank neutral hydrogen survey
The paper reports neutral hydrogen observations of a large sample ofdwarf and other low surface brightness galaxies. A detailed discussionand error analysis of the observations are presented, and spectra aredisplayed for 329 galaxies detected for the first time, or detected withsubstantially better signal-to-noise ratios than achieved previously. The positions on the sky of 667 galaxies meeting the present selectioncriteria north of delta = 38 deg are shown. The distribution of theredshifts of galaxies detected at Green Bank is illustrated. The GreenBank detections tapered off strongly below the median H I flux of 3.7 Jykm/s detected at Arecibo: only 12 percent of the Green Bank sample wasdetected with smaller fluxes.

Groups of galaxies within 80 Mpc. II - The catalogue of groups and group members
This paper gives a catalog of the groups and associations obtained bymeans of a revised hierarchical algorithm applied to a sample of 4143galaxies with diameters larger than 100 arcsec and redshifts smallerthan 6000 km/s. The 264 groups of galaxies obtained in this way (andwhich contain at least three sample galaxies) are listed, with the looseassociations surrounding them and the individual members of eachaggregate as well; moreover, the location of every entity among 13regions corresponding roughly to superclusters is specified. Finally,1729 galaxies belong to the groups, and 466 to the associations, i.e.,the total fraction of galaxies within the various aggregates amounts to53 percent.

The case low-dispersion northern sky survey. XII - A region in southern Canes Venatici
Positions, estimated magnitudes, and finding charts (when necessary) areprovided for 194 blue and/or emission-line galaxies, 15 H II regions inseven galaxies, 157 unresolved blue and/or emission-line objects, including QSO candidates, and 32 known and suspected blue stars in a 107sq deg region in Canes Venatici. The objects, whose blue magnitudes aremostly within the range 15-18, were identified on low-dispersionobjective-prism plates taken with the Burrell Schmidt telescope at KittPeak.

Groups of galaxies in the Center for Astrophysics redshift survey
By applying the Huchra and Geller (1982) objective group identificationalgorithm to the Center for Astrophysics' redshift survey, a catalog of128 groups with three or more members is extracted, and 92 of these areused as a statistical sample. A comparison of the distribution of groupcenters with the distribution of all galaxies in the survey indicatesqualitatively that groups trace the large-scale structure of the region. The physical properties of groups may be related to the details oflarge-scale structure, and it is concluded that differences among groupcatalogs may be due to the properties of large-scale structures andtheir location relative to the survey limits.

KISO survey for ultraviolet-excess galaxies. V.
Presented here are the fifth list and identification charts of theultraviolet-excess galaxies which have been detected on the multi-colorplates taken with the Kiso Schmidt telescope for 10 survey fields. Inthe sky area of some 300 square degrees 628 objects are catalogued downto the photographic magnitude of about 17.5.

Analysis of groups of galaxies with accurate redshifts
Arecibo radio telescope redshift measurements have been obtained forover 100 galaxies in more than 40 different groups which generallyconsist of a large spiral galaxy with one or more companions. This setof data is supplemented with over 160 galaxies in more than 40 groupswhose dominant galaxy is brighter than 11.8 mag. An analysis of theentire sample indicates that typical structure in extragalactic space isone in which a large central galaxy has smaller and fainter companionsextending from about 20-900 kpc around. The companion galaxies in thesegroups have significantly higher redshifts than the brightest galaxy inthe group, confirming previous studies in whose results the companiongalaxies are systematically redshifted with respect to the dominantgalaxy.

21-cm observations of galaxies in groups and multiplets
Measures at the 21-cm line of neutral hydrogen are reported for a largesample of individual galaxies in groups as well as for interactingmultiple-component systems. The observations of single galaxies weredesigned to study differential redshifts within groups. Observations ofinteracting systems were undertaken to obtain system redshifts as wellas 21-cm profile morphology. The data, which will be used in futureanalyses, are presented here along with a discussion of interactionmorphology from the 21-cm profile point of view. Together the profilesamples encompass the full range of dynamical states in which the gascomponents of galaxies are observed, from relaxed to violentlydisrupted.
